Comprehensive architectural, interior, and landscape photography of the premium Prestige horse club in Astana for the official website, presentation brochures, and architectural publications.
01 / Challenge
The project combines large-scale exterior volumes (red clinker brick, massive glass stained-glass windows of the atrium) with premium stable interiors featuring textured wood. Outdoor shooting in the harsh continental climate of Astana was complicated by the severe zenith sun, which created deep black shadows under the roof slopes and washed out the texture of the light paving stones, depriving the architecture of its volumetric depth.
02 / MOSS Bureau Solution
We applied a dynamic bracketing shooting mode combined with circular polarizing filters (CPL). This allowed us to completely eliminate blinding glare from the panoramic glazing of the atrium, reveal soft silhouettes of birch trees and clouds in the reflection, and meticulously render the mortar joints of the brickwork on both shaded and illuminated facades simultaneously.

During the editing stage, a strict, high-precision adjustment of architectural axes and alignment of the main building's verticals was carried out. Using a localized frequency separation method, we leveled the tone of the brickwork, eliminated efflorescence and construction imperfections, cleared the pavement of utility hatches, irrigation systems, and wires, and delicately enhanced the rich wood texture within the stall interiors.
[ Frame Specifics ] — Handling Large-Format Reflections
The central stained-glass window of the atrium acts as a giant mirror. To prevent the facade from looking like a dead black wall, we captured an angle where the birch grove and blue sky reflected at just the right orientation. Utilizing a CPL filter allowed us to balance the glass transparency: the interior volume of the building remains visible through it, while preserving a cinematic reflection of nature.
[ Frame Specifics ] — Light Ergonomics in Premium Stables
Inside the stables, we encountered a complex blend of warm wood stall panels, brass hardware accents, and overhead natural light coming from skylights. We utilized localized accent lighting to emphasize the wood grain on the stall doors and make the golden metallic details pop, successfully avoiding muddy yellow casts in the walkways.
